Hey I am glad they got through. It's been fun, i dont print that big and toning for me is still a rare occurrence - the tone here was not at all bold either.
It's true that the exchange pushes you to do more and i enjoyed it

I've received a very nice print from Miscco. An interesting and fun photo with a lot going on. It's of the "Friday Morning Swim Club" in Chicago showing bathers queuing to get up a ladder. It looks like most of them are having fun! Very nicely printed as well. I also very much appreciate the letter with the story behind the photograph.

Thanks!

Thanks Trond! Here's a scan of the print if anyone's interested in seeing it.

Posted mine today!

And well received today!
Trond sent me something special, a beautiful photo taken on the beach on the Danish island of RØmØ.
The horizon is placed very high at around 7/8th towards the top of the frame, filling most of the frame with the wavy pattern of sand and a curvy water line around it.
A seagull is passing by somewhat mid-frame and to me that is the icing on the cake!

Trond printed the photo on one of his last sheets of Fomatone 532, a beautiful matte Chamois paper which I hadn't seen in real life yet (my darkroom journey started around 2020, when this paper was already discontinued).
It's a beautiful paper with a lovely subtle texture to it and it suits this scene very well.
It also reminds me that I still have some Fomatone MG 112 matte paper in stock, which I should really start using...

Thank you very much Trond, this photo will get a well-deserved spot in my collection!

Hello,
I got the prints from @halfaman - actually they arrived a few days ago but I wasn't home. They are both very nice color prints.
One is from a trip on a the Perito Moreno (what a fantastic place!). I would not have guessed that the negative is overexposed. The picture is impressive for the sense of scale and i like how the lines "drive" the exploration of the image. Also - all my respect for lugging the P 67 around!
The second one is from a particular place, the "garden festival" held annually in Allariz, where "garden" is to be intended in a wider sense. The picture is very nice, with the installation inserted in a perfect square, I like the composition a lot.
Fun fact - I stopped in Allariz last year on my way to Galicia. I did not know of the event unfortunately else I'd definitely would have paid a longer visit
