Anybody happily using BPF 200 with Pyrocat HD in a Jobo CPE+?

I got away from BPF 200 and would like to revisit it using Pyrocat HD - Glycol.

Could you suggest times, ratios, etc?

Thanks

Bruce,

If you will tell me your printing process I can perhaps suggest some dilutions and times.

My process solutions for 4X5 negatives are Ansco 130 ala Clarke, Kodak Indicator Stop bath, two 3 minutes baths of Rapid Fix without hardener, holding water bath and 30 minute archival washer, 6 minute Ilford Selenium toner, 5 minute Hypo bath, 20-30 minute archival washer and either hang dry or rotary dry.

My paper of choice is Kentmere VCFB Warmtone.

I'm printing with a Super Chromega Dichro II using its' filters and Kentmeres contrast control recommendations.

I would love to get this working, thank you for your assistance (again).

For negatives of normal contrast try BPF 200 for 13-15 minutes (rotary agitation at 72F) with the 1:1:100 dilution of Pyrocat-HD or -MC. (Or try 8-10 minutes with the 2:2:100 dilution).

My experience with BPF is that it is somewhat inconsistent in results and the real effective film speed is closer to 100 than 200. However, current emulsion batches may have better consistency than the samples I tested 2-3 years ago.
