Looks very promissing! I've been thinking about IR myself, so it would be interesting to know what kind of filter you used for these shots?

Hi, I used a Cokin A Series Red 003 which (according to this website) is equivalent to a Kodak Wratten #25 filter.

I made a couple of prints last night but am having difficulty getting that frosty 'glow' to really show without blowing the highlights. Has anyone got any tips? Maybe a preflash? I'm using pearl finish Ilford MGIV RC paper and Meopta Opemus 6 Color.

Those look great Andy. I'll chime in even if a little late for that one test roll - hopefully there will be more. Try a few simple portraits without filter, rated about 100 (using strobes personlly). Shot as a normal film, the IR portion will be slightly out of focus, giving a nice diffusion. And on caucasian skin, the IR gives a nice alabaster result. Worth a try for sure.

I looked at your sample scans and I thought they looked very good. But as you note getting the images to print on paper is another thing.

Looking at the second image you posted is a good example why bracketing +- 1/2 stop is reccomended. As I mentioned in my previous post printing becomes very easy if you use a pyro developer such as PMK. If you use PMK, Pyrocat, WD2D your printing headaches will dissapear.

On the whole though the images exposures and compositions looked pretty good, especially for your first roll.
