The earliest G-Clarons were actually same era and quality as the celebrated Gold Dot Schneider Dagor's made by Kern. But this is only a small fraction of the cost of those lenses. You sacrifice 2/3 of a stop to save a thousand bucks. Quality is the same. Single coated which is overkilll on a Dagor type. Shutter accurate, serviced, running like new. Although the "Press" shutters are quirky. If you use the open aperture black lever for focus, the aperture is blocked, so it's not that useful, you can't stop down while focusing. To focus and stop down you have to lock a cable release in open position in the "B" setting. Yes, it covers 8X10 with perhaps an inch to play in. Wide field, not Wide Angle. $325 + shipping.

2nd is a Packard #6 Ideal Shutter with built in Sync. Running flawlessly although the bulb that comes with it, is thin and a newer sturdier bulb would close it faster on the NON Instant setting. Instant works great and this can achieve about 1/20th second exposures repeatably. Freshly serviced and working perfectly, ready to mount. It is 4¾" outside dims with 2½" aperture. No accident. That size was designed to fit on both 6X6 lensboards and also the common at the time Burke and James 5.2" lens boards. You mount it on the back of the lens board and sneak the air through usually by drilling a hole and putting a hard piece of piping through the board. A small section of drip irrigation hard line works great. Then the soft hose continues inside. Plenty of soft hose included for you to cut it and mount that way. Original box included! Also the "pin" that goes through the lens board and causes the instant setting to work is included. Put that Verito of Pinkham Soft Focus lens to work with THIS shutter. $115 + shipping
