The number of books on the subject in English and German is manageable, at least as far as I can tell.
It’s all the more encouraging, then, that new publications do appear from time to time.
The book cover, whether print or digital, looks promising. But when you look at the content, it might quickly become clear that AI was the author here. Useful information is padded out with general statements, and the details reveal a lack of expertise.
That wouldn’t be a big deal if you’re knowledgeable yourself and can extract the useful information. But since such publications are also read by those who are just building their knowledge, it becomes problematic.
Perhaps the AI will become even more capable, but until then, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best books on camera repair have already been written.
