edited by Gordon Lewis from a translation by William and Amy Fujimura. Hardcover, published 1991, 8-3/4 x 11-1/4", 231 pages, over 500 B&W illustrations. Includes fourteen essays by seven Japanese writers which trace the growth and development of the Japanese photographic industry from the 19th century to the present. Published by the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House in conjuntion with the Japan Camera Inspection Institute.
