Just glanced at the K8....
seems to be a neat camera! I can't comment on the finder, though even the finders on my Canons are smallish. They seem easy enough to use, though.
The separate vf on my Canon Eight has parallax correction and built in masks for six focal lengths, though no diopter correction. Evevn with my glasses on, it's easy to see, through. The Eight also has a focussing option of using the non-filming lens on the turret to determine focus distance, then transfer that setting to the taking lens...nice at wide aperatures.
My Canon Reflex Eight has a diopter adjustment and a split image screen, which is very handy!
Not trying to steer you, but my Canons seem very heavy, well built and reliable. They also go for a song on the auction site. The Reflex Eight is very nice with a built in meter and other conveniences and was had for less than $20. There's an active listing for one currently, I believe.
