I was just given a cute little bogen 22a. It fits the itty bitty darkroom/bathroom a whole lot better than my old Burke & James. Problem is it only has a 35mm film carrier. There's not a whole lot of info I can find on these machines, even searhing the threads here.
Has anyone any experience with these? How about 6X6? I sure can't find anyone who has 6X6 carriers for it. Does it even take a 6X6?
Any adivise would be appreciated.

Hi Jim,

I have owned a couple of these, good little enlargers for limited space, yes there are MF holders around for it, your best best if probably going to be on ebay to find new neg holders for it, I actually used mine for color as well there should be a filter drawer on it as well, like said, all in all, not a bad rig if your limited on space.

I had one too for many years. Sold off the head and carriers and kept the rest as a copy stand. There was indeed a 6x6 carrier for it, but it might be tough to find one without buying another 22a that has one, which is probably cheaper than a new 6x6 carrier for an enlarger in current production, and heck, it may even come with an 80mm lens.

Thanks for the info. It's reasurring to know that the enlarger is usable. I managed to adapt an extra Burke & James 6X6 holder. It ain't pretty but it looks like it'll work ok. It came with a 75mm lens that looks to work good with the MF. All I'm doing now is focussing on the white board but the image is pretty nice.
I've just finished putting together the darkroom (bathroom). I haven't had one for 25 years and I'm getting pretty excited.
If it weren't for other priorities I'd be in the DR the rest of the night. I hate priorities
