Bob "Soupy" Campbell

I heard an interesting interview on our local public radio station today with Chris Bohialian who has written a novel based on the life of photographer Bob Campbell. The author's web site has a gallery of Campbell's photographs, and a short bio. Campbell grew up in Vermont and worked as a photographer in Greenwich Village in the '60s.

Wow, what a memory rush.

A good friend of mine was a musician in the Village
in the 60's. Bob shot the liner photo for his
first LP.

I'm going to have to find out what the final disposition
of his work is.

Every guy with the last name of Smith isn't nicknamed Cough Drop.

Most Brits called Miller are nick-named "Dusty" unless they are fast runners when they are called "Mick The"

Most Whites are "Chalky" especially in London police stories on TV. We are traditionalists in the U.K.

An old high school chum with that last name had the nick name of Mark the Shark, nobody ever called him by his last name.
