Boy Art, and I thought you were an early adopter...

Why would you think I would be into this? Is it because I said something good about digital printing?

It's a joke. Don't worry, nobody is challenging your dinosaurism...

Sorry, I'm a bit sensitive because I've seen a few other snipes regarding this. Yes I am a dinosaur, although I'm not sure I particularly want to be thought of that way  Believe it or not I'm well known on other sites as being fiercely anti-digital.

I am bumping this up, hoping to find more film based blogs to link to and check out regularly. There aren't many of us around! I have a small list in my links section.

My site is a kind of combo blog & gallery. I have a separate section where I write stuff, usually just my darkroom log and reviews. The whole thing isn't updated enough, as I've been lazy lately.

Molten Words

I just visited your site and enjoyed the visit. My son the budding photographer was looking over my shoulder when I was enjoying the polaroid transfers. He said "What kind of photography is that?... Oh, it must be art" I guess his photo teacher in high school hasn't taught him that 'rules' must be broken.

Charlie Rose had on 3 bloggers a couple of nights ago.

Wonkette, instapundit and joetrippe.

If it's on Charlie Rose, it must be becoming mainstream.

You know it's really mainstream when the Iranian government is jailing and torturing bloggers by the dozens (yes).

The people on Charlie Rose were talking about that, mainy Joe Trippe. He talked about the groundswell movements that these bloggers were a part of in places like Iran, China as well as Iraq which the governments were fearing.

Thanks for the plug Bjorke. I am just stumbling into APUG. Have spent most of my online photo nerd efforts hanging with the toycamera.com crowd though I suppose I technically might fit in here as well.

We haven't got a blog (yet), but we sometimes contribute photo-related links to joerg's Conscientious photoblog- it's quite nice a blog IMHO, although not necessarily analogical.

Some of our newest work was on it last week - that was sure nice.

Hey there, Melisa. I am trying to figure this forum out. Don't know that I have time for a whole new crew. But it looks like a cool place.

Thanks Melisa! I have added you to the list! Yes, I've only seen a little bit of Bridges' work, but I really liked them.

I just bought his book "Pictures". I highly recommend it. Especially if you like movies, too. He has a series throughout the book of Comedy/Tragedy images. You know, those masks?! He has different actors doing this in one shot. I guess he must have a slower shutter speed and has the actor frown, then makes them move really fast to the other end of the frame and then they smile. Pretty neat. I want to try with my horizon!

I will add you to my links, now, too!
