Also I received my print.

Marc,

Your print was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. Thank you. I like it very much.

I sent mine ages ago and haven't heard anything from him whether he received it or liked it.
And I haven't received one yet either.
I'm not holding my breath anymore.

Ciao Nicole,

I haven't been bothering anyone with the fact that it hasn't arrived here, as I knew you sent it ages ago and I guess there's not much you can do about it. Nige sent me some prints from down under and they got here in record time. However, the Italian post sytem is known for its vagaries and it has been a long weekend and Xmass and all... so the system invariably gets clogged up. (People are still getting my Xmass cards in Europe!)

I will keep you posted for sure - I really hope it makes it!

Hi Niko, oh dear, I really hope you get the print soon! It's the same one I sent for the normal print exchange.

I also sent a whole series of photographs to the UK around the same time and they haven't arrived yet either! So fingers crossed they still find their way. I've changed carriers since.

Keep me posted.
Kindest regards, Nicole

lol Nige. I used a company from here that packages and sends, not the conventional post. I hope they did.
They did! I received a package today from Dubai. Impressive matting and even nicer print. Thank you Nicole! (where's the smilie for "ecstatic"?)

Now I really need to get into my darkroom and get my printing up to par...

José's picture just arrieved! It is great. It took more then one month to be delivered. I think Mexican and Slovak post build up a kind of record, or maybe they try to stop globalisation by slowing their post services. So or so, enough of poor jokes.

Thank you very much, José

I sent mine to TheMissingLink on or about October 27. I had pm'd him to confirm whether he'd received or not. I haven't heard back from him.

Art; It's been months. Now you know who talks the talk and who walks the walk. Shread that list of remaining names. Let's get on with a new one and dependable photographers.

Didn't see Gandolfi since last year. Is he on a vacation?

FYI: I don't know who was supposed to send to me, but I didn't receive anything yet.

I've seen Gandolfi and Huber on other sites not too long ago... FWIW, I've never managed to get Gandolfi to read any of my PM's either. I think it may be a matter of digital-impairment.

Art: Reguarding my post above. How about you send me the contact info for Argus. I'll send him a print.

Or maybe list who got stiffed. We could chip in on sending out some prints.

Then maybe we could get on with another exchange.

I`ve participated in two print exchanges without getting prints in return from the designated list members, but I wouldn`t say I got stiffed. There are 2 of my prints hanging on walls a few thousand miles from my house, which I know are being enjoyed by fellow Apuggers. On top of that, I got a great print from Art (keep on apologizing like that Art, I really like that image).
Lets just get on with the next exchange.

I'm still a print-orphan: "Please sir, will you let me in, it's very cold outside and I see you have a nice picture with you, perhaps I could look at it with you..."

Don't bother. It's not that I feel like a child crying out loud because little brother got a new toy and I didn't

I already participated in some exchanges (print, blind) and was very well served with nice prints.
I guess we'll have to live with it that some people, for whatever possible reason, can't fullfill their commitment.

You can also start the next exchange before this one is finished, and those who are still working on #3 can sit out #4. I keep a list, so that if I'm running late, I still have the names and address of people I owe prints to, and can send them out when they're ready.

To Argus, Vet, Peter, Mhv, etc. It would be no bother. This is my first APUG exchange. I have done other exchanges from other forum's as David well knows. It always seems to work out that about a third of the people fail in their "commitment". It's one thing when you have to knock out 20 prints for a group exchange. But come on, it was only one print that was commited too. Then you see the posts, The check is in the mail, the check is in the mail.

I subscribe to this forum because it was a valuable resource a while back. I was able to trade some very high end, hard to find, equipment with another member. Something that I had searched for, for years. We made contact via PM's and took the chance that the other was honest. It worked out very well.

Apug has let me meet David, Art, Bob F.,Tom D. and others. I look forward to meeting them and others again.

I just think that finding one print and sending it out as promised is a reasonable expectation. OK that's it. I've vented, I'll let it rest.

I don't know. I sent him a print in a print exchange and never got one back. He did pm me his address for the last group print exchange. It seems like after that, he has dropped off the face of the forum. I've replied to many people looking for his address, but haven't heard anything for a while either.
