Blind Print Exchange Round 26 (BPX26) - Sign Up Thread

=============================

Dear photographers,

it is time for a new round of BPX! I enjoyed the last round very much. I am glad to see that most of you sent your images out.

If you are new to BPX: Please read the sticky FAQ before you subscribe. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to mail(PM) me.

If you want to sign up, PM me your full real name and your complete mailing address, including the country. Please use the subject: BPX26 signup. I still have the addresses of BPX25: If you gave an address last round you may subscribe simply by answering here.

We're on a four month cycle. I think that is viable. Shorter periods are hard to manage for most of us, but longer period lead to lose this exchange out of sight. So I stay with 4 months. That means:

Signup: June 2017 (ending 30 June 2013 at 23:59 h UT)

Print and Send: July and August 2017

Rest and Relaxation: September 2017

If you run late, we don't care, no need for apologies. Just let me know.

Please remember, if you have not fulfilled your obligations for one of the previous BPX exchanges, try to do so before signing up.

I very like BPX. It is an inexpensive way to own real excellent photographs. And it is a way for presenting your own work.

Fine prints doesn't need to be extra large (which lead to high shipping rates). But they should be FINE. Make the best what you are able to in the darkroom. You will find that your prints get better with every BPX round. Enjoy it!

I too like BPX, so I'd like to sign-in again.
And may be this time I'll stick to my schedule and will print in time, who knows ?

Do you need my details again?

Dear Laurent, thank you for your subscription. I still have your address.

Dear Crumpet, as I wrote in the first mail: Fine prints doesn't need to be extra large... But they should be FINE.

The smallest print I got ever was only 16cmx16cm, but it is a very fine one. Most prints are in the range between 18x24cm² and 30x40cm². I usually sent out 24x30cm² baryta prints.

Great thanks for the info. I only have access to a darkroom over the next two weeks (summer holidays) so will try get in there and make a 20x25 before signing up so I know I can get it done  talk soon hopefully!

Daniel

Count me in! Have a good sized print ready now  Any tips for packaging? Is a tube best for larger prints?

If people don't mind receiving a set (lets say 8) of small 5x4" contact prints I'd like to join in too.

Dear loctotus,

I am looking forward t read how your prints are valued here. 4"x5" is fine!
I need your snail mail address. Please PM me.

Btw, empty paper boxes are good for protecting prints in the mail and it's a good way of recycling them.
