copy of PM sent by TheToadMen to all participants of BPX21 on Sept. 30th said:BPX21 assignment
Hi,
Here is your address and the address of your recipient.
If your address needs correcting, PM me ASAP!
Please wait until October 6th before sending.
Your address:

Your assignment:
(...)
It’s not obligated, but it would be nice to include a note or a letter explaining what, when, where & how then image/print was made. And maybe telling a bit about who and where you are? It’s always nice to receive a letter with your print.
Please don’t forget to mention your name, so the recipient knows who the sender is.
Please try to print and mail your image before the deadline. Someone else is making an effort to send you a print as well.
If life interferes with your darkroom time, don’t worry. It happens. Health, family and work are important too. Just let us know you will be running late. If for some reason you can’t fulfill your obligation at all, just PM me as soon as possible.
Please post on the BPX21 thread when you actually dropped off the package at the post office and when you received a print from another member. Mounting and boarding the print is not obligated, but would be a nice bonus. Please pack the print carefully. If you ”just” stick it in an envelope, all corners will be bent on arrival. At least stick it between two layers of oversized cardboard for protection.
It would be nice if you could scan your print before sending it, and post the image (after the recipient confirmed receiving it) to the BPX21 thread (and the APUG Gallery). If you can’t scan the image, you could make a photo of it with a digital camera, to give us an impression of your gift.
Thank you,
Bert from Holland (TheToadMen)
Thanks Bert! There are no problems with my address.
I have spent the last couple of nights making a print to send on the 6th. I think I'm happy but I'll take another look after the weekend and make sure it's the one I want.
Looking forward to this!
Hello all,
The BPX Round 21 has started!! We're on a 4 month cycle, so the important dates to remember are:
Print and Send: October - December 2014 (but beware of the X-mas holidays!!)
R&R: January 2015

Stone,
As far as I remember, there are no minimum or maximum size limitations in BPX. Do what works best. This time I sent 8x10 prints, since the current set works best at this size. A few exchanges back I sent 20x30. Whatever works best for you.
Eugene.
It's been five weeks since I shipped my print. If it hasn't arrived by now I fear it has been lost or damaged in the mail.
I'll start printing another one, I guess.
Nw for another apology, I'm a little behind, but in my defence I did shoot before Christmas and printed and then decided I didn't like what I produced so have reshot, film is developed, so now only need to print. Hopefully my contribution will be in the post by the end of the month. Cheers John
Apologies to Adelorenzo (I have sent a PM as well), print received a week or so ago and been a little busy and not been able to find a few spare moments to post a reply.
Received a super print from the Yukon, beautiful range of tones and detail and so pleased to have received it. The print is currently on display in the dining room being enjoyed by all who pass through. Thanks for sharing and just love these print exchanges.
Thanks for sharing.
Question spurred by John's post: I participate in several print exchanges, and sometimes get confused about the 'rules' written and unwritten on each. For this print exchange, I have often taken the opportunity to revisit an older negative and reprint it. There is another where we are strongly encouraged to print a new negative. Is there an expectation in this exchange that the entire process be taken from current work? - Would I be cheating if I were to open up my archives and pull out a print that I did years ago, and to use that for my submission?
Part of why I ask, is that I may be moving, and am facing the possibility of spending some time without a darkroom - would it be legit for me to do some prints in advance of moving so I can still keep a hand in this print exchange (albeit a dry hand), while I am without a darkroom?
Mark
I've never given it a great deal of thought but it has always seemed a natural thing to go out and obtain new images to send as my contribution to the exchange. Bert is right, it does motivate and I find this to be one of the appeals of the exchanges plus of course receiving beautiful prints from like minded individuals in far off places.
