I have a negative that has a portion of the image in the middle of a large area of clear film (zone 1) that I want to eliminate and make it all black. I am assuming that I can just bleach it out with something like farmers reducer, but since it is just local instead of overall bleaching, will it leave lines around the area I'm trying to bleach out? If not farmers reducer, is there something else i can use. I've never tried bleaching negs before. Oh yeah - the negative is developed in PMK Pyro.

Thanks

If you use dilute Farmers you should be fine, but yu need to be very careful not to get blech in the wrong places. You will be left with any stain from the PMK but that should be easy to burn in to eliminate any details and get a good black at the printing stage.
