I LOVE my SL66E, and I have 3 good lenses for it..

However, in this period of my life, I so adore the soft images one can get, using very old inexpensive lenses, so I fitted an old meniscus type landscape lens (Lancaster) in an equally old emty brass barrel..
The front of the barrel (the sun shade) fitted perfectly in the front hole of the camera, and it doesn't ruin anything in the camera..

Voila - I now have a funny looking camera, with an amazing lens in front..

can't wait to see the results..
:D

Like a "portrait" of me: Old stuff - newer stuff, and duck tape... How analouge is that?

Can't wait to see them either! :D Post some if you have a few ready

I am quite sure, I don't need the imagon!

and I have several soft focus lenses for my LF cameras..

This one is "responsible" for this image.. but taken in 4x5"..

Blasphemy? No, the SL66 was constructed that way with just this option in mind.

Agreed. I'm forcing my speed Graphic to mate with all sorts of mutt lenses.

Does this mod count as a low-fi system?

You could always stick a cardboard tube and pinhole on the end of it.

first try

so here are three quick scans taken with this lens outfit.

I miscalculated the aperture, so I overexposed the film..
but still, I can see use for this..

what do you think?

Love the way the soft mottled background merges with the subjects you chose to photograph, especially those curly branches...

Wonderful -- looks like something I'd be shooting with, though like you I'm usually taping them onto the Norma, not the Rollei. And I love the Stine portrait, too!

Josef Sudek would approve and so do I..... very nice work.... reach and do what you like. It may take a few butt shuffles to get our arms long enought to reach, but we can do it... you did with these,I think.

Our Photo God must surely love a Rollei SL66 with Duct tape on it. Blessings upon you
