Blank T-Max100 sheet film

Just developed 4x5 T-Max100 in Kodak DK-50 stock(cola Coleridge) possibly exhausted? Film came out blank. Wrong dev/film combination or exhausted dev? And no I didn’t leave my lens cap on.

That’s cola colored. Dark brown.thank you

Well besides the lens cap you have the dark slide.

Let's get these out of the way. Did you pull the dark slide or fix before develop?

You can do a quick test if you have any developer left. Dip a film leader in to see if you get anything.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes I pulled the dark slide. The film is completely see through, no density on emulsion. I had luck before with Kodak D-76 , guess I should stick with what works.

If the DK-50 developer is dark brown then it has expired, it is no more, it has ceased to be.

As a check, is the Kodak imprint visible on the margin of the film?

Your developer was expired. Always do a clip test on your developer before committing valuable film to it, especially if it has been stored for weeks/months. I always keep a sheet of old film handy to cut a strip from, to test developer activity before using.

Yesterday’s shoot was not a total waste. I also tested the Time exposure on my Graflex D camera using Kodalith developed in Kodak D-11 developer and was happy to see no motion blur. I am preparing to use the Graflex to shoot wet plates.

yes thank you. I have one plate holder for the Graflex D. That should be enough to get my feet wet.
