I am selling a Rolleiflex SL 35 SLR body made by Rollei. All functions are working including the meter. The meter requires a 1.3 V battery solution (for instance the commonly available Wein Cell MRB625) to give very accurate readings, but it can still be used with common alkaline cells if one is willing to apply a correction factor of perhaps 1/2 to a 1 stop.
The camera has no operational defects that I can see. All functions work. Cosmetically the camera has seen some use, but not abuse, and it's still very attractive looking.
The SL35, if you are not aware, is a fully mechanical 35mm SLR, with a wide range of lenses made for it in its native bayonet mount (QBM mount). These lenses were made in Japan, Germany, and Singapore and most are distinguished by their exceptional optical quality, but are still fairly affordable. The camera will also accept an adapter that can allow it to use any M42 lens and maintain full auto iris control - it's the only non-M42 camera I've seen able do that (these adapters can be found at low cost on eBay for example). This makes the SL35 also capable of using any M42 lens correctly - and there are a vast number of those.
The SL35 is also one of the first compact, lighter 35mm SLR's. It's not quite as small as an Olympus OM-1 or Pentax MX, but it's definitely not a big heavy beast like many of its processors in this genre. It is small and light enough to easily carry, yet large enough not to require fiddling with it to make control adjustments and such with ones fingers if ones hands are large (OM-1), or struggling to use the undersized viewfinder (Pentax MX).
This sale includes only the camera body. I will also include the shown detachable accessory shoe mount (normally sold as a separate item).
Price: $80 plus shipping
