Whenever I get my pictures developed I have this black bar on the top and bottom of my pictures. I do like it very much but, I would like to have the option to shoot without it as well. Any ideas as to how I can get rid of it whenever I want?

Good morning, Jo;

You did not say what Minolta camera you are using. That could help. There is a panorama accessory that was available for several models of Minolta cameras back in the late 1980's and the 1990's. It might be possible that your camera has that accessory installed. There was also a replacement vewfinder screen that came with this accessory, but not all cameras could have their screen changed easily. The photograph you displayed looks like one taken with that accessory.

Enjoy; Ralph Javins, Latte Land, Washington

Opps. Sorry, its a 1998 Minolta Maxxum XTsi. What is this viewfinder you speak of?
