Black and White Photography, magazine, still in business?

Not sure what forum to put this in, but here goes. Has anyone seen the Dec 2013 or Jan 2014 issues of this magazine. All the book stores I've checked in N. Florida haven't had any since the Nov 2013 issue.

I checked the google and found 2013 December issue , I can say worst magazine cover I have ever seen.

Thank you , Mustafa, but this is a different magazine published in England. Black + White Photography, is the title. It use to be a great film magazine, but it's about 98 % digital now, but still good photography. Thank you Konical, are you in the US?

Yes, I'm in Illinois. I get Black + White by mail from England. I also subscribe to Black & White (the U. S. magazine). The last issue of that one I have received is #100 (December 2013).

It has been since shortly after Ms. McWhinnie stepped away since I have looked for an issue to begin with. It seemed as they were becoming another Shutterbug with EVEN less content relating to analog so I said why bother. Just curious. Is this still the case?

The English Black + White isn't what it used to be. There is still a little film-related material in it, but I'm not sure that I'll renew the next time a notice arrives.

I don't know about dated, but it looks so posed it's not funny. Just your average urban street scene I suppose. LOL!

If that is an example of what you would find inside, good riddance if they went belly up.

I bought the February issue of the British Black and White Photography magazine this morning - so it is still in business

In the U.S., a number of places no longer carry it, specifically most (or all) Barnes & Noble stores. Borders used to carry it, but then Borders went under. That was a real shame.

Not all of us want to shop at Amazon. Some/Many of us still like a traditional bookstore.

Of course, Barnes & Noble and Borders put the smaller bookstores out of business, so I guess the cycle is now complete. Until something else comes along and challenges Amazon.

Just to add to the confusion, there was an Australian magazine called Black and White that seems to have gone under. Here is a wikipedia link explaining their view of it.

I used to play like that when I was a kid, so nostalgia attack.

Still no Black & White Photography in three stores between Jacksonville and Gainesville Fl. But I did get my second Monograph Series Lenswork magazine the other day. Great magazine. The only one I subscribe to now.

The British Black+White magazine appears to be going strong and is readily available in the UK. There must be an issue with distribution in the US. As stated earlier, traditional film based work gets little coverage, although it is not completely ignored. Pinholes, Holgas and alternative processes get a mention, and the readers submissions can be on film. I stopped subscribing some time ago, but I still pick it up occasionally if an issue looks interesting.
