Black and white film developing in Houston, Texas?

Are there any Houstonians here who can recommend a lab in Houston to develop Tri-X and Acros? I am spending a few months in town and did not bring tanks and chemicals with me. Google shows some options, but I have no personal experience with them. Thanks!

I'm not in Houston, but used to be many years ago. Kingwood Photo has been in business for decades. They always did good work back in the day when I would send it out.

I moved from Houston to Conroe a few years ago and haven't used any photo labs since Aker Imaging closed down, so I'm not familiar with any labs that have popped up since then. You might give Houston Camera Exchange a call or stop in and find out who they recommend.

What part of town will you be staying?

I am in the Rice University - West University Place area. West U is still really nice. Wish i still had my house there.

I did visit Houston Camera Exchange and bought 2 rolls of Portra 160. Maybe I misunderstood, but the salesperson said they only sell 2 rolls of C-41 film to a customer.

I don't go to HCE very often now that I live out 45 miles from downtown. I've purchased b&w film and developer last time I was there a year ago, but not color. Maybe they're rationing color.

I did a Google search on film labs in Houston and there are several, but like I said I haven't used a lab for a number of years so can't give a personal recommendation.

Thank you all. I want to re-photograph scenes that I covered in the 1980s. But so much has changed! The 4th ward still has a few historical shotgun houses left. I have with me here some of my old negatives to scan and then post on my blog.

That's a jaw dropper, especially in the Bay Area. It's something I've never encountered in 30-40 years of film photography. Live long enough, you sure get to see a lot of changes.
