It was mentioned somewhat elliptically in a previous thread but Bill is featured in the current edition, which arrived a few days ago (I hadn't cracked it open until this week)
BW-065-116.jpg

Not just one or two pages, but a really proper feature on Bill & his photography. Check that cover! Props Bill!

Great article, extremely interesting and informative read... although I have to admit I had a cardboard guitar as a kid...

I just bought a copy last weekend. It's a very nice article, and the shooting tips are neat too...(like not shooting on a clear night without the effect of 'weather'). Congratulations, Bill.

 Just found this thread. Thanks for posting it Kevin... I haven't seen the bookshelf version yet. Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I was afraid to read at first. You are all kind and it means a lot. A cardboard gutar Andy?! Too fun. I wish I still had one of my early "cameras".

Thanks again all,

Bill

I'm still waiting for it to hit the bookstores here, once it does, I will buy it - which I do only occasionally. I love Bill's work, and am looking forward to seeing it in print.

Kerik,
I believe Barnes & Noble is supposed to carry it.

Jerry

Yes, it is in fact distributed through B&N. The locally owned bookstore here stocks it also.

And add my rah rah to the chorus...can I get my copy autographed Bill??

Just picked up the Nov. issue of B&W Photography and yes, Bill's images look great!! And he got a cover! Way to go. Enjoyed the piece very much.

I think it's great that so many apuggers have made it into B&W! It's a great magazine and the more we support it the better!

The issue finally showed up at Borders yesterday.

I usually don't pick up Black and White Photography due to its cost, but I made an exception for this issue. Great article about Bill and his work. I encourage anyone who has access to either a Barnes and Nobel or Borders bookstore to at least sit down and read the article if not purchase this issue.

You are all very kind. Thank you all very much for picking it up and giving it a read. It has been very exciting and the response via here and email has been pretty overwhelming. I had a spotlight several years ago in the American B&W and didn't get a fraction of the response I've had from this one. It was the September, 2001 issue so I am assuming that had an effect as well.

Thanks again everyone!!!!

I went out to the park at lunch time today, and got the opportunity to really read this article. It is a great article, full of wonderful images.

On other thing I noticed, that no one has picked up on, is a wonderful image by our own Baxter Bradford. He is known for his color work, but has a good eye for B&W (although I think the image in the magazine would have worked better in color ).
