Though if you do, it will be a pig tale... and pig tales usually have a twist.

Why do you have to drive 35 miles, don't they have mail order labs in the U.S. ?

Yes. I just got back five rolls of E6 from Dwayne's this week.

I'm sure there's someone around here, even after the closure of E-6 Lab in Atlanta, that I could take it, but it's far easier and more convenient for me to take it to the post office one mile away and mail via the automated kiosk. The downside is that I wait a while, especially when I also get scans, which I always do, at least of slide film.

Dwayne's found more ways to get the negatives dirty or to improperly set the enlarger filters during printing on a regular basis than any other photo processor I have dealt with. I got tired of paying to ship everything back to be reworked. Besides they specialized in not refunding my reshipping costs. They are free to go out of business as soon as they can.

Humm, I've had exactly one real processing problem (as opposed to printing) in probably a couple of hundred rolls sent to them, a single scratched Kodachrome frame. The fact it's a shot of my elderly mother and my then-fiance didn't help, but it was only one. The prints are generally though not always fine, with a "not always" rate considerably better than I've experienced in the old days with most drop off labs.

Their scans kind of suck, I agree with that, but they are cheap and I don't have a film scanner suitable for 35mm or 120.

Roger, Siris, loosen up and ham it up a bit. You are losing it. Lard on some humor and some pork belly. Otherwise someone will pork you with a sharp stick.

If you are short of cash Roger, just "hock" some valuables for internet cafe time and take up the thread.

I say we give this up in a pigs eye!!!!
