BIG B/W competition 7000€

I have gotten this notice that there will be a big B/W competition and exhibition held here in Denmark.

It is for all kinds of photographers (so also dig"""l is allowed)

The topic is FREE
The photographer should upload "portfolios" of 4-6 images (they can be of very different content, but the jugdes are asked to wiew the portfolios as a whole).

IF you are among the winners, you have to donate 4(I think) prints for sale, and the money for the sale goes to charity (children in photography).

First price is 7000€ (about 9500$)

Of course you have to pay an entrance fee that's quite normal (?)- how much is not known yet (to me)..

Far better than a competition thats "free", where the competition is really a rights grab so they dont have to pay for commercial/advertising images.

nearly $10K is a sizable purse to the winning image its only right

The "free" competitions I'm talking about are for every single image entered, it's generally part of the entry conditions.

All these kind of competitions are only to get their pockets filled up...

I start one next autumn. All entries are possible. Fee for each photo is 10$. First price is 5000$.
But there must be minimal 500 entries, otherwise it stops..
