I currently have an Epson Perfection 4490. It did okay scanning in negatives but nothing that really blew me away. I was just curious if anyone has some recommendations for upgrading to a great scanner that does negatives (slide, 35mm and 120) very well? I know its broad...but I am just trying to get a feel for what products people use and enjoy. The one thing I dont like about my scanner is it seems I scan in an image to a jpg and its pixilated, so I up the resolution and it doesnt seem to help much just makes the file huge. I dunno could be operator error...but I seem to never be overly thrilled with the results. I am not sure a print from a scanned image would look that good and its sorta what I would like to aim for.
