BEST LENES MAMIYARZ67

PLEASE COULD ANYONE TELL ME THE BEST LENES FOR LANDSCAPES.AND GENARAL PHOTOGRAPH WITH MAMIYA RZ67 AND WHAT IS W /MLA/Z LENES..THANK YOU.

I'm not sure what the designations mean. However, the "best" depends on your intended use of course. For me, sharpest is always the cirterion. The sharpest I ever tried is the 110mm for the RZ. I used it 95% of the time. For interiors and some landscapes, the 50mm ULD (not the Z version) was very good as well. I never owned any of the APO lenses so can't comment about them. It's a fine system camera.

w=wide aperture cllck stops (easier to get ½stops on aperture ring)
MLA= designates a close focusing floating element design

N= i beleive means the newest iteration of that particular lens design

They are all good, even the non-ULD, non-M/L-A versions. Really, no bad lenses in the system, in general.

THANK you guys for the info ive not used the mamiya yet was just confused over the diffrent lenes .but now i no i will buy wide angal /110mm so thanks again guys. PS ive learnt so much from this site.stevep51

The 110mm f/2.8 is a great lens but will give you roughly a normal angle of view on 6x7 so if you want a moderately wide look for the 50mm or 65 mm

Many years ago I owned an RB67 Pro-S with 37 fish, 50, 65, 90, 127, 140 macro, 180 and 250... nearly a full kit. These were all the single coated versions and most were superb performers. My 250 wasn't quite as sharp or high-contrast as I'd hoped but wasn't really bad. Maybe the 250 was a lemon. I've never used any other RB lenses. I often miss that big ol' machine. I never used that particular camera for landscapes but had I done so I would have carried the 50, 65, 90, 127 and 180... quite a heavy kit to haul. As I understand it, Mamiya RB/RZ lenses only got better over the years.

I used to shoot an RZ and the 110mm is the lens to get for absolute sharpness. It's a normal focal length and great for general purpose.

The 50mm ULD is the best choice for a wide angle and is also very sharp. Wide angles are very popular for landscapes but landscapes are also shot with normals and long focal length lenses. It just depends upon how you visualize.
