Hi, I recently purchased a bulk roll of 100 tmax (expired in 1999). I usually shoot HP5 400 and dev in Rodinal (love the grain). I was just wondering what would be best suited to 100 tmax? What do you use?
It might be better to use energetic developer for as short as possible development. HC 110 dil. B 24C (75F) it is only 5.5 min. That's pretty old expired film. Some people like HC-110 for old expired film as it's said to minimize age fog. Take that for what it's worth as I haven't tried it.

Whatever chems you already have on hand wiould be fine.
I would just use salt and pepper.....
or whatever else you might have.

just not pepper, it sticks to emulsion.

Depends what you like. Xtol 1:1 is what I'd recommend.
Or FX-39 or FX-37. Vanbar sells FX-39 atm iirc too.
Yes but the FX39 is very old, some even has a 2005 expiry date.

I think I'll go with the Rodinal for ease of use and I have some in my cupboard. I'll post my results. Also I will make sure to dilute the pepper and use some Photoflo afterwards![]()
