I'd look into Superia 100 or Reala 100. They are cheaper than professional films and have saturated color. Freestyle carries both of them. $3 per roll for Superia 100, and $3.50 per roll of Reala 100.
I HIGHLY agree with this if you are using 120 film. I buy Superia 100 from freestyle and use it for my pinhole work all the time. Nice colors with long exposure and i find it to be very forgiving.
Is it okay to mention ... good ol' Velvia.
Yes it is a transparency film, but I never did care much for C-41 process film. C-41 will be more forgiving I suppose. It will be interesting to read your thoughts on the use of both materials.
I have done a ton of shooting with Superia 400 and 800, and only think of them as "grainy" when my exposure was very bad. I get rather nice 8x12s from Superia 800, even if it is overexposed by about a stop.
Underexposure leads to the mushy-looking, washed out grain, and overexposure leads to the sharp, gnarly grain.

It is hard to tell from a small Internet picture. It is especially hard to tell if the pic is from a mini lab scan. If you look at your negs, you will be able to see how each shot is exposed.
FWIW, the pic you posted doesn't look that grainy to me.
