Super cool little point and shoot wide angle system. Terrific for casual off the cuff shooting or more formal shooting too if you desire.
The lens is near mint, very clean, no exterior scratches or marks, internally it’s just as clean. No fogging, haze or fungus. The aperture blades are clean and clear as well.
The body shows some wear and use but no abuse. The back door and maybe even the front leather is a bit sticky. I’ve read you can take the door down to shiny plastic with isopropyl alcohol, but it didn’t really bother me. Functionally it’s in great shape. The shutter speeds are smooth and even down to a full second and the meter works great. The camera has a set of recently installed LR44 batteries. The camera works without batteries, they are just needed for the meter.
The (vastly overpriced) grip balances the camera in your hand nicely and gives the strap a mounting point that keeps the camera flat around your neck. It’s in near new condition and really does finish out the system nicely.
The only thing needed to finish out the system would be a 21mm finder but I've found it fantastic just the way it is. I used it for grab shots and to just goof around. It is truly pocketable like this.
In with the camera pics are a couple shots from this year’s Men's Final Four in Indianapolis that were shot (and metered) with this camera and a Voigtlander 21mm f/4.
Bessa L camera body w/ body cap, 21mm f/2.8 Avenon LTM lens with both caps and UV filter, Voigtlander grip, set of back up batteries and a set of rings for a strap for $559, net plus $18 for shipping in the US.
(PS) I forgot to mention, if you look at the bottom of the camera by the 1/4 20, it looks like there is some tripod wear or something. It's covered up by the grip but it is there.
