For sale is a used Beseler Negaflat, Beseler catalog number 8340, in excellent condition. The Negaflat is compatible with all Beseler 4x5 enlargers, and may be employed on Omega D-series enlargers using the Beseler 8428 adapter. The Negaflat holds 4x5 film completely flat by gripping the 5” edges on opposite sides and pulling it taut. No glass, no Newton rings, no nasty anti-Newton dust, just clean, clear, flat film for tack sharp prints.
A simple mechanism, the Beseler Negaflat operates using a two-position switch on it’s handle. To open the film gate rotate the switch counter-clockwise 45°. Insert a sheet of film into the carrier and rotate the switch back to the original position. The film gate will close, gripping the film and pulling it taut. Insert the Negaflat into the enlarger and focus…Nothing could be simpler. The film is now completely flat, no sagging center regardless of exposure length or duration of printing session.
