Beseler Nagaflat 4x5 for LPL ?

Hi all

Simply question about Beseler Negaflat 4x5 carrier ( first generation) - does it fit to LPL 7450 enlarger ?

Judging from some pictures, it looks like it might. The major problem would probably be the thickness. The head on the LPL doesn't go up very far.
Glass 4x5 carriers are available for the LPL which would accomplish the same goal.

I don't know if it will fit or not, but a glass carrier will not achieve the same purpose as a Negaflat. The Negaflat is designed to smoothly transport roll film or 35mm film(depending on which one you have) smoothly through the negative stage. One problem could be the location of the locator pins.

Jim you are thinking of the negatrans, not negaflat.

Here is my "maybe not" answer. First I have 7452 and no idea what generation negaflat I have. In the normal config the negaflat dosn't fit -- both in the opening - too thick and if it did the alignment pins don't fit into the opening either. If you remove the negative stage from the enlarger the negaflat fits - wobbles around and dosn't seal when you lower the head. You might be able to make a custom adapter to make it work.
