I bought a Schneider 150mm Schneider APO-Componon HM and
I would like to know if I have to mount my
150mm APO-Componon HM lens on the lensboard with Extension?
Can I mount on a regular flat lensboard?
What is the advantages mount with extension.
I would like to know what kind of lensboard are you guys using with
this lens?

Thank you,

-Quang

mine is on a standard flat lensboard.

So did you have to drill three holds on the lensboard to mount the lens on it?
I'm not sure how to go about.

the lens is mounted in the hole in the middle of the board, and then 3 set screws are used along the sides of the jam nut to hold in place, as it is a heavy piece of glass for the board/

i will double check when i go into the lab in the morning to get a better idea, am going by memory alone

Congrats on owning a fine lens. I really like mine, and I also have 2 Apo-Rodagons (50mm and 90mm). I was also a little puzzled about mounting it on my D-II at first, and there seem to be three ways of mounting it.

I have it with the conical piece that surrounds the rear cell going through a 2.5" hole in the lensboard (a 4" extension cone) with two screws holding it down from behind the lensboard. Three screws or four would be even better for the purpose of aligning the lens.

If you remove that cone and the rear element, the lens will fit in an ordinary 39mm hole, held in place by the rear element.

There are also 55mm threads on the lens barrel for mounting with a 55mm flange or retaining ring.
