Hello all,

just purchased a Beseler 23C II and recieved a Dual Dichro head with it. For some reason it is making a strange vibrating/buzzing noise and I’m not quite sure what it is. I don’t mind buying a new one, I just thought if the free one works then why not just use that. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks

You could check out the cooling fan. Could be loose on the mounts. Check for filth. Doesn’t this have a separate 24V transformer, power supply? Transformers can hum, get hot etc.

The cooling fan seems fine to me, but it’s a possibility. It only seems to make the buzzing noise when the actual lamp is on. It does have a separate power supply, that has two buttons, one to turn on the lamp and one to turn on the power. If the power is just on, no buzzing. But when the lamp is on that’s when the buzzing starts.

It's been too long since I used a Dichro II but you might want to check your lamp socket to see if it is arcing. The lamp may be hard to extract if it is arcing and burning up the lamp leads; kinda like a mini welder!
