Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a repair/service manual or schematics for Beseler Dichro 45s head? I'm not talking about the user manual. I recently got a used 45s and want to keep it running as long as possible. If you happen to have a copy, could you please email me a copy?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but I would also need the schematics for the Dichro 45 S .
Could you send me a copy via email too?

Thank You!!

Clemens

OK guys so you got the manual n some pictures of the vactroll casuing the delayed light problem...

How did it work out for you n what was the cure?

If we can document this, then when people look it up, the fix is right here.

:D

Paul is there any chance of obtaining a copy of the Beseler 45s service manual from you?
Thanks Garry

PM me your e-mail address?

glad to help.

I have a Beseler dichro 67. What do you mean by "light delay"?

I think I had the same problem. It's when you push the timer and there's a delay when the head turns on. I had to replace the optio isolator.

i need more info on the opto isolator for the 45s. this lag is really infuriating. We checked how much current goes to the bulb and it's rated at 62 volts, but the case says 82volts. not sure if there's something else wrong with the board or if 62 is normal. as of now ive unplugged the 2 bulb cables to bypass it and hooked it up to a variac. but this is too bulky and unrealistic. i got an external box that i'm rigging a dimmer, bypass and timer switch. but i'd rather use my time-o-lite... so please provide a service manual, schematic or pics of the fix for probelmatic part, where i can get it etc.
please and thank you!

I have a dumb question. If the bulb is rated at 62 volts, then why would you need the xformer at all? Would not a good strong diode do?

bulb and machine are labeled at 82 but the pc board puts out 62v
maybe my board is screwed up

Hello,

New to forum and found this thread while looking for information on how to repair a Dichro 45 colorhead.
Any chance I can get a copy of a service manual or schematics? On occasion, err is displayed on the filtration display.

Thank you in advance.

Mike

I'm also looking for repair manual and/or schematics for non-computerized version of the 45s head. Anyone still has a copy?

thanks

I also have this head with the delay issues. If available I would love to get the service manual also. Thanks
It's always, for me been a bad opto-isolator. The original was Vactrol opto. I've repaired several that always did the trick.I would need to find my notes. There's two couplers on the PCB. Takes about 10 minutes to solder in a new coupler, which are hard to find. There's a lot about this here if you search. Problem is a tiny neon lamp in the coupler goes bad.
The PCB is marked iso 1 and iso 2. I am sure I have notes somewhere. These heads are old!
I may even have a Vactrol coupler. Would need to check.
The modern couplers are LED based and don't burn out. Search this site there's been a lot of discussion on this.

Yes, I’ve found those. I replaced the 120v neon one with a relay but the LED one is still lousy. I’ve tried to find a schematic so I can bypass the color computer section and keep the regulator as I only do B&W anyway. Thanks

Hi!
I´m really after some kind of service manual. Any data on this Vactrol (replacement) would be VERY appreciated!. Thanks

Me too, me too. Outside of voltage reduction, I'd be curious to study why an enlarger light source would need any kind of fancy circuitry in the first place.

If someone know how to bypass all that circuitry, going directly to the lamp, you´re also welcome.
