We had an unprecedented rain this afternoon. We've recently moved and my darkroom is in storage in the garage/shop/eventual darkroom sitting on the floor.
The darkroom build was planned for this upcoming winter.
Unprecedented rains came this afternoon (the water level was measured at 6-1/2 inches in the dedicated room). The base boards of both of my 23CIIs and the CB7 were under water for a couple of hours.
I had been planning to build both of the 23s into one baseboard. So the plywood baseboards on those isn't much concern. However, there are switches and circuits built into the baseboard of the CB7. I'm intending to contact my insurance adjuster tomorrow am to see what they are willing to do.
In the meantime, any suggestions? I've got a dehumidifier running in the finished basement of the home, but it's going to be a few days before I can transfer to the eventual new darkroom. I was able to salvage both of my 4x5 cameras (thank God for water resistant cases) and my Mamiya 67. Negatives in sleeves are on the agenda this weekend to pull out of their sleeves and wash. The JOBO CBE2+ floated, so it's good to go. Powdered developers were in a tote that also floated.
