Beseler 45S Colorhead

I have 2 of these that don't work. One was damaged in shipping,I believe,(not visible) and the other worked sometimes,but now not at all.Does anyone know who can fix these? My understanding is that Beseler no longer will,Thanks

Start simple. Maybe the lamp is damaged. Check it out. Replace the bulb.

If I were you I would try the generic stuff: plug,cord, connections to the bulb, and if you have or can get a bulb the bulb. these are really just a special floursecent light so any electrican could find the trouble if it's just not lighting. If you can't do this stuff yourself i have two suggestions: First is call Midwest Photo Exchange and or Columbus Camera Group and see if they know anyone, secound call some local electricans and see if you could take it to one of them for them to look at and find the the problem and hopefully fix it .

If it's the 45S then not very difficult. If it's the computerized version with the digital display then I gave up. I have one of these and I can't fix it.

I went on the Charles Beseler web site and with a little searching,they have 2 repair facilities one on each coast. I had tried all the obvious fixes and believe there is some faulty circuit board problem.I'll update as soon as I hear from the repair shop.

Use caution when changing them out. Make sure they have cooled down before you change them if they still work? I've been burned by one of them before... not pretty.

My 45S with computer head stopped working. I took it apart, cleaned the connections, put it together, and it worked! It was dirty contacts.
