Anyway.......i also have two of the condenser heads. I assume it is a pretty, straight forward swap of one head for the other.?
But now i am looking at Filters. The manual says to use 6x6 inch filters
Is that what you guys use.?
The back end of the filter "drawer" is rounded, and i am having a hard time getting these to come out of the head. I have not tried to use it on the enlarger yet, just putting a filter in the holder and inserting it. It seems to go in fine, but when i pull out the filter holder out, the filter wants to stay in the head.
Am i doing something wrong.?
Thank You

Maybe i should put this part last.....
It would seem i have lost my Third 45S Color Head in less than Two Years.
It starts with a slow/uneven response to the timer, and then ends in a catastrophic failure. A new bulb does nothing, and it might be blowing the new bulbs (again) as well.....kind of a long story, but i know these heads have a history of these types of problems.

That is exactly what i was wondering.
Beseler makes no mention of it in their manual. They just say 6x6 inch.......so i thought i was doing something "wrong".
Thank You

A while back I made a set of cardboard "masks", 1 for each filter, that "fit" including the rounded end. I found that easier then messing with the filter holder.

I also have a 45s, though not set up yet. Your experience is a bit discouraging. But I'm also keeping a condenser light source as a backup.

Just remember to cut the end without the filter numbers... yeah, the ones that came with my MXT had half the numbers cut off...
