Hi all,
I just received a new (to me) Beseler 23C III with dichroic head and as I'm assembling it I've got some questions maybe you all can answer:
1) Behind the lamphouse along one of the adjustment rails there are marks for different film formats. It would appear that depending on where I fix the set screws for the rails, I can change the available range of travel for the head (but at the expense of the travel for the focusing bellows). But what's the point? Is it just so that 6x9 shooters can move the head up higher for bigger enlargements on the baseboard?
2) The lensboard has a built-in red plastic stick to illuminate the lens aperture scale. Will I need to tape over this for color printing, or is it dim enough not to be a problem?
3) Anybody have a manual .pdf they want to share? It looks mostly pretty straight forward, but maybe I'm missing something.
thanks,
Jerry
