Would I benefit from using an extended lens board with a 105 mm lens?

If yes, recommended amount of extension?

Still at baby steps stage with enlarger lenses... and shopping for an extra lens board.

If I remember correctly, the MF Beselers have quite a lot of lens extension available, so it's unlikely that you would need an extended lens board. There are equations for the various enlarger geometries, based on The film to paper distance, amount of adjustable lens extension, required magnification and so on. The 105mm lens is one of the normal focal lengths for this enlarger so you should be ok without a special lens board. Why not just try it: if it turns out that the standard flat lens board gives you the range you need then life is simpler.

Thanks.
A Beseler 23C manual states that the standard board will work with up to 105mm lenses (given the 39mm Leica thread), so I should be good to go, and maybe even buy a threaded board?

As stated above, they are designed to take a 105mm lens as is, no special boards, to cover 6x9. I have one and used to print 6x9 with it, no issues.
