So, looks like it's readily available again, and I bought some VCCB recently. Just had my first go with this paper in some time. The packaging looks different, but the paper seems the same as I remember. Long exposure times, nice warm tones. Glad to see it back.

The paper itself will be quite different because the original Forte made papers are long gone and now Bergger papers are made by Ilford.

True, Ian, once the prints are toned and dried I'll compare them to some older Berrger prints I have. The tones, I suspect, will look different. Still... seems to be nice paper.
Suzanne, what kind of toner do you use.I have used selenium but the paper seems to go cold and I really like the tone of the paper better before its toned in selenium.

I was planning to try it in selenium... I'll let you know my results when I get that done later this week. My prints are still slightly damp, (been humid here in the basement!) but it's drying down to a very subtle brown tone, not as brown as I remember from using the paper a few years ago.

Choice of developer is critical in the warmth/colour, as is fixing time, a warm tone paper will bleach if over fixed and look colder toned.

Ian
Ian,dektol and anso 130 are the two developers I use for paper, would those be able to leave a warm tone on the paper?

Ian,found information on the developers in darkroom cook book.Seems adding bromide or used developer to fresh helps as well as shortening development times. Selectol I also use,but it is a very low contrast developer.
