I tried Berger VCB (fiber base) for portrait and still-life too. Like it very much.
This paper is made by Forte. Anyone knows about future of that paper.

Any news about Forte too. I am sure Forte will resume operation and work as before kodak came to their doors. I know that people and way of thinking. Just do not knows what is going on this moment.

Forte has gone for good.

I doubt anyone wants to buy much of their technology. After all EFKE, Foma, Kentmere have competent photo-chemists more than capable of manufacturing similar products to those produced by Forte.

Fotohuis has posted on this thread about a new paper which should have similar properties and be sold under various brand names. (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I was under the impression that Forte is gone for good and that the factory property was to be developed for some other purpose.

Well, I had a talk with Mr Gerard, PDG of Bergger. He said that none of his products would be affected by forte closure. Bergger bought forte material, and moved it to another plant (most probably foma), and production will be effective in september... So now, we can buy the stock, and wait for september...

I seem to remember Gordon Hutchins saying that Bergger (?) was moving the paper plant to France. did not pay a lot of attention to it as I don't use their
