Almost. FX-1 is longer in sulfite and carbonate. Beutler is closer. Beers
A and Ansco 120 are the same developer.
This is a follow up to the Defender 55D thread. I found that FX-1 makes
a good PRINT developer and was looking for print developers of similar
composition.
I think any of the above formulas at appropriate strength will make make
good print developers and good compensating film developers. Likely a
very good compromise twixt the three could be made with a
universall developer the result. Dan
