Beck lenses?

I took in Beck 135mm FD mount in a trade for an AE-1 the other day and though it seems like a well built lens, the general feeling I get from google searches is that these lens are low quality tools.

I've never heard of this maker before and would like to know others thoughts on the subject; is this a lens worth keeping as a prime or are they rubbish?

This is a cheap rebadged lens. Beck were a very old lens manufacturer who closed or got taken over before WWII.

It's probably some chain store/distribuitoirs own brand label.
