At the moment I have a Beattie plain grid screen which I bought couple of months ago, as I found the Bronica too dark really. However I have now just seen a Beattie split screen (basically the same as the OG Bronica one, but the Beattie version)

Whats peoples views on a plain Vs. split screen as to be fair I do find it a little harder to focus with the plain....maybe as I'm not used to it but just wanted to find out what you people use/think

Cheers

I actually prefer the plain matte screens. I have a Maxwell screen in my TLR and it makes a huge difference, particularly when focusing off-center.

Yea thats what I've been having a play with, but just hard to say which is easier. Plain or split hmmmm

Can't you still focus using the off-center part of the screen, even if there is a split image in the center?

When I was young and my eyesight was much better, I preferred the plain screen.

Now that my eyesight is not what it used to be, I can only achieve accurate focusing with a split-image screen.
