This was a barrel lens I bought for a project and decided to go a different route. It's made for a Graflex SLR, the FL is not listed but on a 5x7 it looks like 18-21cm. The elements are absolutely FLAWLESS not even cleaning markings, which is impressive for a lens over 110 years old. The aperture, which must have like a million blades is smooth and clean. The elements are removable and seem to take 58mm filters on the rear? That might be fun if you have a bunch of close-up filters or something. It has a lovely brassing on the barrel and definitely is vintage. The patent date is 1903 but I believe it to be around 1907 or maybe 1911. It's definitely pre-WWI as the Zeiss markings were removed during WWI to ease anti-German sentiment in the United States
The only downside is I do not have the original mount plate so unless you know SK Grimes personally or you have a Graflex 5x8 SLR you are on your own. It looks like it could screw into a lens board if you were crafty with a hole saw.
FWIW I believe I measured the opening at 65mm or something like that. Ready for your glass plate system! Or your sheet film system if you have one of those Packard air shutters.
100 OBO plus shipping, I see these things on that auction site for twice or even three times as much there's no way they can be worth that much.
Item ships from 32904, I do international shipping just let me know your customs procedures before hand and we'll work something out. I take Paypal, USPS money order or check, if buying internationally I will do a Western Union money order, I ship when I get paid. 100% eBay feedback.
