I have a Rico 500 G rangefinder camera and for its built in light meter I need a „1,3Volt Everrready Epx675 or Mallory PX675“ according to the manual.

Due to ecological reasons these types of batteries are not sold in Europe anymore. Do you know of any viable replacement, that yields the same power and current so that the light meter will work precisely and correctly? I read that if the properties of the battery does not match with exactly, the light meter will not measure 100% correctly.

There are a couple of options. For me, a voltage reducing adapter works better than the zinc-air hearing aid battery option. Like this:

They aren’t inexpensive but really work. If looking on eBay or Amazon there are many that will adapt the cell size but not reduce the voltage. That probably won’t give you what you want. Only buy the one that specifies that it reduces the voltage to 1.3 volts.

Check their compatibility list to make sure it fits your camera. It works great in my Ricoh Singlex TLS.

Otherwise, this option might be suitable also (randomly selected supplier just for illustrative purposes):

Had you read that text that I presented for you, you would know...
See page 2, 2nd collumn, there you find two references to those cells.
