I'm using my EOS-1n it's four years now without problems. The problem began some six weeks ago, when I picked up my camera, turned it on and nothing showed up at all, no single thing on the LCD. I replaced the 2CR5. This one died after shooting one roll of film! The other died after staying two weeks in the camera without shooting a frame!!! The last one showed low battery after a roll of film. All the batteries had good expiry dates, to 2014 or so.Two were Energizers one Fuji. I can't figure out what's going on.
Have any of you experienced such a problem? What can cause such a drain of batteries? Is it a malfunction?

Thanks.

Hi,

My wife has had a similar problem with one of her EOS 1ns and like you we are stuck for an answer to why it should be doing this. We have tried cleaning everything and many different batteries but it still drains down and stops working. It is now parked in the cupboard and she is using one of mine! Any information on this would be most welcome.

Cheers,

Neil.

I've had exactly the same problem in the past with my EOS 30. Somehow it disappeared a couple of months ago, when I started using cheap chinese batteries. Go figure.
