Barry and I had a really nice visit tonight. We caught up on all of his latest machining fun and games. You may not know but he is the primary source of new ground glass for large format cameras. He cuts and laser etches the glass and of course, grinds it. He also repairs LF cameras and currently shoots with a 11x14 bouquet camera built before 1920. Barry recently retired from his full professorship at a technical college where he taught areospace machining.
Barry will take up his ground glass making and computer repair as soon as he finishes his relocation to a rural property somewhere in the middle of America, 2200 miles from where he lives now. He is looking forward to a retirement in the countryside and his time will be filled with all sorts of fascinating hobbies. You would be surprised what he has taken an interest in. Barry is a cool dude for sure.
