Bag recommendation for RB67

I went to Lowe’s, a home improvement/hardware store in the US, and bought a heavy duty shoulder bag made for carrying electric saws, drills, etc. It has a hard bottom, a zipper opening for two divided pockets and small pockets inside the main divisions and on the outside. I think it cost about $40. It holds a body, several lenses depending on size, backs, film, meter, filters, etc. it’s worked well for me for more than a decade.

I did something similar to carry my RB67 or my 4x5 inch wooden pinhole cameras.

UPDATE

I now carry a ProSD body, 50, 90, & 250mm lenses, two backs, a compendium shade, prism finder, and filters, cables, & whatnot in the aforementioned backpack. It's a load to be sure, but it's compact for travel here and there. I'm considering a Pelican case for general storage though, so I can unload the backpack to facilitate more casual shooting. Still no problems with construction or durability.

I usually buy bags for $5 in the thrift store, but I recently splurged and bought this for my RB. It is perfect. The weird bottom compartment fits my body with a lens on it perfectly... even if I have the prism attached. It is not all that rugged, but I do not think most photographers need a bag that can weather the Mojave Desert. It is an Unho bag on ebay. I paid $39. I think it is even cheaper, now.

Whatever bag you carry the gear you describe in is going to be heavy, I suggest you take the equipment you are going to travel with to a camera store and test drive some bags with it , because buying online or mail order can give a false impression of what it's like to actually carry the stuff in it.

Yup, didn't work for either after it posted. The bag was from B+H Photo for $135.00 USD. It's the Lowepro Classic AW300 BP, and is awesome!

That's what I did in the past with a bag... But going to a store is impossible at the moment...

That's the beauty of the thing: it will hold your body, a couple lenses, backs, filters, shades, film and accessories. If you were heading out to a park to do some macro and or general landscape, you'd probably do fine with a 90 or 127mm lens and an extension tube set, feeling well-equipped. BTW, you can strap a tripod on the bp as well!

It's larger than it appears in photos: from top to bottom the thing is around 20” or so. The perspective makes it appears smaller. The RB body with back and 90mm lens is packed in at the top, if that helps any.

I was thinking of a Lowepro Flipside, regarding that the in both series 300-size bags are more or less the same size, a 400 should fit.
I don't need to carry more than what you do here. I will swap the prism for an extra back and the compendium for an extra lens, but it all should fit according your pictures. Many thanks.

I considered the Flipside but had nightmares of my lenses falling out if it for some reason. Of course, with the Classic 300, the same thing could happen as well. Maybe I should up my medication...

I like buying camera inserts and using a hiking backpack. Especially with cameras this heavy.
