Bag for RB67?



My Domke F2 fits an RB67 with 90mm mounted and a back attached, 65mm, 180mm, three filters (in their cases) and a 45mm extension tube in the main body with the cushioned inserts left in place. Also carries two spare backs in end pockets, meter and cable release in front pockets, and extra rolls of film in pocket inside the soft cover.

I also use a Domke F902 to carry two extra backs. I have it attached to my carry strap on the F2.

Oh gee why didn't I think of that. Here's another announcement from the department of the obvious: The reason I ask for opinions is that I can get an idea of bags and then try to find them in a local bricks and mortar camera store. Don't know what sort of shops you have around but the ones I can find in London either have a few bags to cater to the compact/dSLR crowd or they are a Domke dealer (ie have little else) or Lowepro (and have little else) or Crumpler, etc etc

So maybe, just saying, maybe I want to know what bags I should be looking for before I pack the RB and spend a day travelling around London.

RedDot (Old Steet) keeps some of the big Billinghams. Ring before visiting. At lunch time stalls in Whitecross street 100m away full of city workers lunching.

Calmut (DrummondSt) have pro bags. All the Indian shops same street do ex food - just don't ask for hot.
 

It might be stating the obvious but at least you will know if your gear will fit in the bag correctly,and what the combined weight feels like to carry over your shoulder the quality of the materials and construction things that Internet forums can't tell you.

I have a largish, high end diaper bag that, with a bit of extra padding, works as an alternate carry bag for my RB67 with two backs and two lenses.

I paid about $10.00 for it at a thrift store - after confirming that it was washable!

Mostly though, my RB67 resides in a large Amvona bag.

I do 't have a prism finder.
 
I have Tamrac Pro 8 for Mamiya RZ67 pro II, 2 backs, winder, 110 lens, external exposure meter and still lot of space.

But check for price, I bought it brand new for like 130 Euros = cca 175 USD from local photo store.
 
In the end I got a Think Tank Retrospective 30. Fits

1 the RB with grip and WLF or with the prism and no grip. In either case the lens will be something like the 90mm or shorter in length.
2 a lens or two stacked
3 1-2 extra backs in the front pockets
4 plenty of film, lightmeter and other little things.

It can also fit the RB with grip and prism but it then gets a bit too fat for my liking, but it is still doable. I reckon if you have the rB with WLF and no grip you can sit it vertically and have space for 2-3 lenses around it. I'm happy with it.

That is how I gbag mine, I stick the grip in by itself, if I'm in a hurry I don't use the grip.
