I was making some mytol and I over compensated with Sodium metaborate, resulting in a PH of 8.5. The stuff works, but is too active. What could I use to bring down the PH to what it suppost to be?

adjust pH with 5-10% sulfuric acid; for slight changes use 10% acetic.

Citric acid also would work well. I've used it in home-brew developers, so I've verified that it doesn't mess up the brew.

I've got some %2 sulf acid mixed up for my reversal process. I'm not that far off as the PH is 8.5. That should do the trick.

Since you don't want to dilute your brew you want to use the most concentrated acid you can find. For this reason I would support Mark's suggestion of Citric Acid, followed by NaHSO4 and concentrated other acids like Acetic, Sulfuric or whatever.

Thank you gents, my 2% sul acid worked like a charm. The negs are hanging to dry now and look good.
